From August 28: Detroit is at Pittsburgh today. (*VIP GAME  #1*)

This is the last preseason game before the start of the 2022 – 2023 regular season. Pittsburgh has Mike Tomlin as their HC. Detroit has Dan Campbell. This game has an interesting twist: Mike Tomlin has three QBs and only needs one, and Dan Campbell has three who perhaps equal one.
 
Mike Tomlin has been coaching the Steelers for 15 years and has 154 wins. He averages 10 wins a year and keeps everyone happy. The owners like him, the players adore him, and the fans in Pittsburgh love their team that wins 10 games a year. Tomlin knows how to keep everyone around him content. He always had Big Ben and now he has to make a decision on who will be the QB this year for his team. It won’t be Mason Rudolph. It has become the Mitch Trubisky / Kenny Pickett show. Both QBs will play and will be given this game to prove why they can deliver the goods. Trubisky was a flop in Chicago but has improved his game enough to not to hurt you. Kenny Pickett is the next star to shine. The real question surrounding him is, “Is he ready to be named the starter yet?”
 
Dan Campbell has 3 wins with Detroit and a heart of gold. He can coach and has the support of his team. He also has Jared Goff as his QB, very little experience coaching and has a tough time winning. Detroit had a good draft and should be playing their 2nd team to prepare them for the season. This looks like an easy win at home for the very mediocre Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Steelers are favored to win by – 6 ½. The money line is a high – 260. We will lay the – 260.
