From September 29: Week 4 – Tough Games Again
Weeks 2, 3, and 4 will always be the official unofficial preseason games in the NFL. Not many teams are ready to play in Week 1, but a small group of them gives us a nice payday to start the season. Today we have 2 games that stand out and should win.
Game 1 is KC playing in LA against the Chargers. Mahomes is 8 – 2 against the Chargers and 5 – 0 against them on the road. The Chargers are 2 – 1. They beat the Raiders in Week 1, flew to Carolina and destroyed the Panthers 26 – 3 in Week 2. During Week 3, they lost in Pittsburgh 20 – 10. Their 2 – 1 record looks good on paper, but they have won two games against bad teams and lost against one of the league’s top defenses.
KC beat Baltimore, Cincinnati and Atlanta this season and the Chargers have some big injuries. The Chiefs know how to win. One way of another, they win.
The Line is – 7. We are going to buy 1 ½ points and be – 5 ½.
Our 2nd game is the Jets at home over Denver. The Jets are finally getting it all together and Rodgers will shine against the Bronco at home. It’s currently raining in the Meadowlands and the Line is – 7. We are going to buy 1 ½ points and be – 5 ½.
