From Jan. 21: Divisional Round
We are down to 8 teams. Each one of them are good enough to get to the Super Bowl under the right circumstances. Let’s get right to Game 1, between Cincinnati and Tennessee. According to Las Vegas, the Titans are favored to win by 3 ½.
The Titans are home and coming off a bye in a Covid year. Ryan Tannehill will be throwing the ball to Julio Jones (this season’s biggest disappointment so far) and the unstoppable A.J. Brown. Derrick Henry will start the game, however it’s not clear how far he can go on his first game back, with a metal disk in his foot. AJ is a monster and catches everything throw to him.
The Bengals according to everyone under the sun, don’t have a chance. Their O line is not that good and very young. Burrow who will become the next elite QB will be throwing to Ja’Marr Chase who caught 81 passes, Tee Higgins who grabbed 74 and Tyler Boyd who caught 67. Let’s not forget Joe Mixon, who runs like the wind.
Either side can win. Tennessee has had the bye week and are well rested. They have the better coach. We happen to think Cincinnati are the better team. If your looking for great value, go with a 6 point teaser of the Bengals at + 9 ½ and Green Bay at + ½. Then buy 1 point.
Your teaser will be, Cincinnati + 10 ½ and Green Bay + 1 ½. You have to lay – 140, but you have good lines.
We are also going with Green Bay and buying 1 point. The line is Green Bay 5 ½ and will like 4 ½ a little better. They are home and this home field difference matters. No traveling during COVID, well rested and ready to play in 5 degrees. The Packers have a better team. They also know Garappolo and his limitations. We are taking them straight up to win as well as our teaser above.
We will be back tomorrow at 10:00 am for our Sunday Picks.
