From November 26: Week 12 – More than a feeling
Let’s start off with Washington at home against Atlanta. The Line is -4 and the Commanders continue to improve from week to week. They are 6 – 5, having won 4 of their last 5 games. Big eyes are on this game as the quiet money is all on Washington. The money line is -195. If you want to buy a point and a half, it’s -170 to bring the betting line down to 2 ½.
The Falcons-Commanders game is getting quite a bit of attention due to the huge crazy lines the other games are getting. The Chiefs are 15 ½ favorites, the 49ers are -9, and the Dolphins are -14. Taylor Heinicke has been steady and the Commanders are playing good football. Atlanta has a ton of needs to attend to, starting with their QB. We see this game as a solid 6 to10 point win for Washington. To paraphrase a line from the national anthem, “Let us root, root, root for the home team” and go with the Commanders.
We are going with Washington on the money line. They are certainly the better team. It comes down to the question of comfort. Are we supposed to bet a game that has Marcus Mariota vs Taylor Heinicke? We are fine under these conditions.
The 49ers are our late game. They are at home vs the Saints. The line is 9 and they have one of the best FG kickers in the NFL. At present, the 49ers are the hottest team in the NFL. Who else could give them a run for the money? KC maybe. The Line is -9 and well reduce that to – 7.5
They are at home, need the win and just beginning to show off how many weapons they have on offense that can beat you.
