From Sept. 26: Week 3 – Money Does Not Burn a Hole in Your Pocket
We have 2 games on tap for tomorrow.
The first game is the Chargers at home against Carolina. The Chargers looked fast and mean last week against KC and almost pulled out a win. They started Justin Herd and he was sensational against KC. The Chiefs had to come back late in the game to pull it out.
This week, they’re facing a Panther team without Christian McCaffrey. He is the offensive MVP of the team and maybe the league. We saw the Panthers in their home opener against the Raiders where they lost 34 – 30 and again in Week 2 on the road in Tampa Bay. Without McCaffrey, they do not match up well against the Chargers. The line is 6 ½. We are going to buy 1 point, because we want a comfort level laying less than 2 field goals. This wager is really all about 2 teams that are going in opposite directions. The Chargers are the better team and Carolina without McCaffrey cannot compete this week or next week in Arizona. We are in Week 3 and this is a make or break week for many teams. Going back the last 3 years, Week 3 is full of upsets.
Our other game is Tampa Bay at Denver. Denver has lost Von Miller for the season. Their running back Lindsey is out as well. The #1 wide receiver Courtland Sutton is also out. We forgot to mention their rookie sensation at QB, Drew Lock, is out too.
Tom Brady has been warming up the last two weeks and this team is ready to roll. There is some continuity developing. Denver is 0 – 2 and has too many players out to compete. Tampa Bay is favored by 6.
This looks like a good 2 team parlay.
