This is really what we call Week 18 (or the Good, the Bad and the Ugly!) and it’s time to cash in. In 1990, NFL expanded the playoffs to 12 teams. The 1st and 2nd seeded teams from each conference are given a week off and the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th seeded teams play each other. This presents an opportunity for profit because, within these 4 games, there are always one or two teams that have no business playing football this weekend. They’re not as good as the top teams who got in and deserve to be in the playoffs. This is where your mismatch and situation lie.
